For instance, on your Alaska travel vacations, you will NOT run into any snakes, dangerous spiders or.. even cockroaches! You won't find any poison oak or poison ivy either, so that is a big relief, right? But there's one tropical-looking plant with gigantic leaves you'll want to be aware of...

Alaska is a BIG place with few roads – if you want to vacation in Alaska by other means:

• Charter a plane for Alaska sightseeing by air, called "flightseeing", or a boat to reach remote locations, such as Lake Clark National Preserve or McNeil Sanctuary or Katmai National Park...

• Take the Alaska Marine Highway tour of the the Alaska coastline from southeastern Alaska all the way out the Aleutian Chain. Or limit your trip to a few great remote locations, such as Cordova or Kodiak Island

Alaska is a land of seemingly endless space, spectacular scenery, abundant wildlife and few people! At first, people think it is desolate or harsh, but after they've spent a little time here, they fall in love with it and want to come back... again and again!
