Alaska Cabin Rentals
Kenai Peninsula-East Side

Alaska cabin rentals in the mountainous eastern half of the Kenai Peninsula, located in the Chugach National Forest:

NOTE: Follow this link for these Forest Service cabin reservations, general information and for additional US Forest Service rental cabins.

Most of these cabins are next to lakes or creeks, so a link will take you to the lake and river cabin rental pages that have the information on each cabin. Below you can see ALL of the public cabins available in Chugach National Forest on the eastern Kenai Peninsula, starting from the north end, going south to Seward.

Many of these cabins are along hiking trails which are used summer and winter. The trails usually allow some motorized traffic, but it depends on the year, the weather conditions, and in winter, on the snowfall. So check on the current regulations when you rent a cabin.

The next three vacation cabin rentals are along the north Resurrection Pass Trail, starting from the area of Hope on the north side. The trail continues to end at mile 52, Sterling Highway on the south side, near Cooper Landing:

  • See Caribou Creek Cabin

  • See East Creek Cabin

  • See Fox Creek Cabin

  • Devil's Pass Cabin - is 16' (4.88m) long. Sleeps 6 and has table, oil stove and outhouse. The Devil's Creek Trail, which goes through Devil's Pass, connects with the Seward Highway a few miles north of its junction with the Sterling Highway. On the other end, it connects with the Resurrection Pass Trails. Cabin elevation is 2,400' (above treeline). Surrounded by steep canyons and has low shrubs, grass and wildflowers. Hunting in season. Skiing in winter.
  • Alaska cabin rentals along the South Resurrection Pass Trail, starting from mile 52, Sterling Highway on the south side, near Cooper Landing and going north to meet the trail to Hope:

  • See Trout Lake Cabin
  • See Juneau Lake Cabin
  • See Romig Cabin - Located at Juneau Lake.
  • See Swan Lake Cabin
  • See West Swan Lake Cabin
  • These cabin rentals are south of the Sterling Highway, east of Cooper Landing:

  • See Crescent Lake Cabin
  • See Crescent Saddle Cabin - also at Crescent Lake.
  • These Alaska cabin rentals are south of the Sterling Highway, west of Cooper Landing:

  • See Aspen Flats Cabin - Located on Russian River.
  • See Barber Cabin
  • See Upper Russian Lake Cabin
  • See Resurrection River Cabin
  • See Dale Clemens Cabin
  • And these two are East of the Seward Highway:

  • We've covered Alaska cabin rentals from north to south, provided by the federal Bureau of Land Management and the US National Forest Service. So if you haven't yet found the right cabin for you, try the State Park cabin rentals...
