Alaska Campgrounds From Tok to Glennallen:

  • Eagle Trail State Campgrounds - has 35 campsites, 5 with NO size limit on RVs. FEE - $15/night with a 15 day limit. Has picnic sites, shelter, water, latrines and trails. Has historical features from Alaska's pioneer days. Located at MP 109.5, Tok Cutoff Hwy (16 miles south of Tok), in Eagle Trail SRS - Operated by park concessionaire CWL Enterprises - 907-883-3686

  • Porcupine Creek State Campgrounds - has 12 campsites with NO size limit on RVs. FEE - $15/night with a 14 night limit. Has picnic sites, water, latrines and trails. A fishing creek. Located at MP 64, Tok Cutoff Hwy, near Nabesna Road, in the Porcupine Creek SRS - Operated by concessionaire Hart D Ranch - 907-822-3973.

  • Dry Creek State Campgrounds - has 50 campsites with NO size limit on RVs. FEE - $15/night with a 15 day limit OR $5/day parking. Has picnic sites, water, latrines and trails. A fishing creek. Located in Dry Creek SRS at Milepost 117.5, Richardson Highway. Run by concessionaire, The Fishing Widow - 907- 822-5608.
  • Alaska Campgrounds on the Glenn Highway - From it's start near Glennallen, to Palmer.

  • Lake Louise State Campgrounds - has 58 campsites with NO size limit on RVs. FEE - $15/night with a 14 night limit OR $5.00/day parking. Has picnic sites, shelter, water and latrines. Boat launch FEE is $10. Unlimited recreation opportunities in this Alaska campground. Located in Lake Louise SRS. Take Lake Louise Road from Milepost 158 Glenn Highway, then 0.4 mile (.64km) and left at the stop. Operated by concessionaire The Store, Inc. - 907-441-7575 for reservations.

  • King Mountain Campgrounds - has 32 campsites with NO size limit on RVs. FEE - $15/night with a 14 night limit OR $5/day parking. Has picnic sites, shelter, water, latrines and trails. Has ATV and hiking trails, and overlooks beautiful Matanuska River. Located at MP 76, Glenn Highway, in King Mountain SRS. Operated by concessionaire, Lifetime Adventures - 1-800-952-8624, E-mail: info@lifetimeadventures.net for reservations.

  • Government Peak Campground - DAY use only with $5/day parking FEE. Has picnic sites ONLY. Located at Mile 11, Hatcher-Pass Road, from MP 49.5 Glenn Highway.
  • Gold Mint Trailhead State Campgrounds - has 10 campsites with NO size limit on RVs. FEE - $10/night OR $5/day parking. Has picnic sites, water, latrines and trails. Located at Mile 14, Hatcher-Pass Road, from MP 49.5 Glenn Highway.

    Alaska Campgrounds on the Glenn Highway - from Palmer to Anchorage.

  • Eklutna Lake State Campgrounds - has 60 campsites with NO size limit on RVs. FEE - $10/night with a 15 day limit OR $5/day parking. Has picnic sites, shelters, water, latrines and trails. Trails are available for hiking, biking, horseback-riding and ATVs. Boating allowed but no launch. Located in , at end of Eklutna Lake Road from Milepost 26, Glenn Highway. Reservations may be made for large groups - 907-345-5014.

  • Eagle River Road State Campgrounds - DAY use only with $5/day parking FEE. Has picnic sites, water, latrines and trails. Historical features and classes at Nature Center. Located at the Eagle River Nature Center, at Mile 12 Eagle River Road, from Glenn Highway.
  • Eagle River State Campgrounds - has 57 campsites with NO size limit on RVs. FEE - $15/night with a 4 night limit OR $5/day parking. Has picnic sites, shelter, water and latrines. Dump station FEE - $5. Fishing available. Located in Chugach State Park. Take Hiland Road exit from Milepost 12.6 Glenn Highway, follow signs. Some spaces can be reserved.   • Arctic Valley Alpenglow - DAY use only with $5/day parking FEE. Trailhead parking, water and latrines only. Great area for hiking, berry picking in summer and skiing in winter. Located just on the north side of Anchorage. Take the Arctic Valley turnoff from the Glenn Highway and it's 7 miles (11.27km) up Arctic Valley Road.
  • Alaska Campgrounds on the Seward Highway - From Anchorage to the end of Turnagain Arm at Cook Inlet.

  • Potter Station State Campgrounds - DAY use only with NO parking FEE. Has picnic sites and latrines at this historical park. Located at MP 115 Seward Highway, just past Potter's Marsh.
  • McHugh Creek State Campgrounds - DAY use only with $5/day parking FEE. Has picnic sites, water, latrines and trails. Located in Chugach State Park at Milepost 111 Seward Highway.
  • Bird Creek State Campgrounds - has 28 campsites with a 35' (10.67m) RV size limit. FEE - $15/night with a 7 night limit OR $5/day parking. Has picnic sites, shelter, water, latrines and trails. Hiking, biking, fishing and an excellent location for whale watching. Located in Chugach State Park at MP 101 Seward Highway.
  • Bird Creek State Campgrounds #2 - has 20 campsites with a 35' (10.67m) RV size limit. FEE - $15/night with a 7 night limit OR $5/day parking. Has picnic sites, water, latrines and trails. Same location as above.
  • The following two Alaska campgrounds are in the area of numerous glaciers. You can hike a short distance to get closer views.

  • Black Bear USFS Campgrounds - has 13 campsites for campers or tents, but NO RVs. FEE - $14/night with 14 night limit. Has picnic sites, water, latrines, trash cans and bear-proof lockers. Located 3.7 miles (5.95km) up Portage Glacier/Whittier Road from Seward Highway, about 50 miles (80.47km) south of Anchorage. It is on the right, but no entrance sign. NO reservations possible.
  • Williwaw USFS Campgrounds - has 60 campsites (13 pull throughs) with NO size limit on RVs. FEE-$18/night for a single site or $28/night for a double site, with 14 night limit. Tent campsites also. Has picnic sites, water and latrines. It is near the Begich-Boggs Portage Glacier Visitor Center. Located 4.2 miles (6.76km) up Portage Glacier/Whittier Road from Seward Highway, about 50 miles (80.47km) south of Anchorage. Entrance sign on right.
  • After you pass Portage Lake Road on the Seward Highway, you'll leave Cook Inlet behind. Here you enter the Kenai Peninsula. So the next ones to check out are the Alaska Campgrounds along the highway to Seward.
