Alaska Land Tours
For Backwoods Hiking & Backpacking

Alaska land tours with an Alaska backpacking guide can make your backpacking trip quite enjoyable. Or you can go on a shorter tour with an Alaska hiking guide.

Either way, hiking in Alaska can be a lot of fun. Since walking is a wonderful way to really explore the wilds, these guide services can show you some of the most interesting nooks and crannies of Alaska.

If you are not quite confident about spending time in the wilderness on your own, then taking an Alaska land tour with a hiking or backpacking guide would be a good option for you.

An Alaska hiking guide will know what to expect for weather conditions, they know the terrain, and how to handle wildlife encounters or other emergencies. They are prepared with needed supplies. They can also educate you about Alaska, and the particular area they are guiding you through.

It is also a lot more fun to go with a group than being by yourself. Factually, I would never suggest taking any long hiking or backpacking trips through remote areas of Alaska by yourself. That is just asking for trouble! You should at least have one other person with you, and more is better.

So let me tell you about the many Alaska land tours with guide services that specialize in hiking and backpacking.

These Alaska guides are listed by park because they are either allowed to operate in those parks, or have been approved to do so. They may also take you on hiking tours that are not in the specific areas mentioned. So just ask them!
